Bob and Otto

by Robert O. Bruel, illustrated by Nick Bruel

Read Novmeber 26th, 2008

Such a cute story!  Nick Bruel is the author/illustrator of Bad Kitty and Poor Puppy, two books I own and have to read often.  My daughter's favorites.

Bob is a caterpillar and Otto is a worm.  They both start out life on the ground and become quick friends.

One day Bob just feels the need to climb the tree.  Otto thinks this is silly and decides to dig instead.  So Bob climbs and climbs and then sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps.  Otto just keeps digging.

Bob finally wakes up and to his surprise, he can fly!  He is a butterfly.  He decides he misses Otto terribly and decides to go visit him.  About the same time Otto decides he misses Bob and decides to surface.

They realize that they are different, but they can still be friends.
