Bella Basset Ballerina
Read Sept 11th, 2008

A great story about working hard to achieve your goals.  Bella, a Bassett Hound, goes to the Borzoi Ballet.  The Borzoi's are elegant and graceful and Bella is determined that she will become a ballerina as well.

Everyone tells her she can't because Basset Hounds have short legs and aren't graceful enough.  Bella keeps practicing and practicing and finally finds a teacher willing to help her.

She goes off to the big city and tries to find a dancing part.  She has many failures, but she doesn't give up.  Finally she gets the part of her dreams and becomes famous.

She opens her own dance studio for 'Aspiring Dancers of Unusual Breeds.'

Very cute story and my daughter LOVED it.  Probably because it had her three favorite things in it; ballet, dogs, and the name Bella.  We have a whole collection of stuffed animals all named Bella. :)
