Abraham Lincoln
by Ingri & Edgar Parin d'Aulaire
Read November 2008
This book is a bit long and tedious for a young child, but is a very interesting insight into the life of Abraham Lincoln.
I would recommend this book for older children. My 7 year-old enjoyed it, but my 5 year-old fell asleep 3 times.
I don't recall the exact number of pages, but it is more than the average young child can deal with...it's pretty long.
This book won the Caldecott Honor in 1940.
